What is the Los Angeles Design Festival?

 Los Angeles Design FestivalTM is an annual series of events staged around greater Los Angeles celebrating outstanding local and international design
talent.

Where is the Festival Held?

Los Angeles Design FestivalTM events are located all over Los Angeles in venues that range from the Los Angeles Convention Center to small design showrooms.

How can I buy tickets to the Festival?

There is no single ticket to the Festival. The Festival is comprised of events across Los Angeles that each have their own admission criteria. Some events are free, some events require advance ticket purchase, some events require an RSVP confirmation. Please visit the link provided with each event listing – the event producer’s website will provide information on ticket availability.

What are the Festival dates in 2013?

In 2013 the Festival will be held from 13 – 30 June.

Who produces the Festival?

Festival events are produced by organizations that have a point of view on design and its role in our city and our culture. Please check the event listings to see who is producing each event.

The Los Angeles Design Festival, as an umbrella brand over the design events, is a marketing effort and trademark of Los Angeles Design Festival, California Corporation Number C3354245. We are in the process of seeking status as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, more commonly known as a non-profit organization.
The nonprofit is aided by an advisory board and committees comprising leading curators, critics, teachers, designers and media, representing a diverse array of design disciplines. All of these experts share an appreciation for the impact good design can have on our quality of life.

Which design disciplines are represented at the Festival?

Our goal is for the Festival to include all design disciplines practiced or appreciated in greater Los Angeles. These include Architecture, Interiors, Product, Fashion, Automobile, Information/Communications and Entertainment.

Can I produce an event for the Festival?

Design-oriented events of any scale are welcome as part of the Festival. Whether you work at a small design studio and want to host an Open House event for your customers or you work at a media or event production company and want to produce a larger event, you are welcome to participate in the Festival. This Festival is by and for Angelenos who understand the impact good design can have on our lives.

Are events restricted to the City of Los Angeles?

We use the term Los Angeles to describe Greater Los Angeles which is generally understood to encompass Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside and Ventura Counties. The name Five County Design Festival is not as pithy as Los Angeles Design Festival!
