Please join AIA|LA's 2018 2x8 scholarship winners for a conversation with the jurors on Thursday, June 7th from 6pm-8pm.
The awarded students will present their winning project pecha-kucha style and will then get feedback from the jurors who selected the projects.
The evening will be held at the Helms Bakery conference space (8745 Washington Blvd Studio E, Culver City, CA 90232), and will also feature a presentation by Something Somewhere - the winning design firm of this year’s 2x8 design competition - centered on how the concept of this year’s exhibition structure came about and the challenges of construction.
Refreshments will be provided by Louis Poulsen.
Open to members, the public, and friends of students without charge, but RSVP at: https://tinyurl.com/2x8-Reception-RSVP.
The 2×8: Interlaced student exhibition will also be on display to the public at Helms Walk (3231 Helms Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90034) at Helms Bakery District from May 22 through June 19.
2x8 is a competition, exhibition, and scholarship fund for students at institutions of higher education throughout California.
