Design Director, verynice
Alisa Olinova is a creative brain dedicated to bringing impactful ideas to life. As the Design Director at verynice, she specializes in that crucial step that combines strategy and creative direction to guide production for non-profit and for-profit clients. She establishes the conceptual and stylistic direction for design staff and orchestrates their work, as well as the work of verynice’s network of contractors and volunteers. She oversees the design of websites, brands, production, illustration, campaigns, print and more for 100+ organizations. She has worked with clients like Heal the Bay, the City of Los Angeles, Participant Media, California Community Foundation, AIDS/LifeCycle, and the Clean Power Alliance. She holds a BFA in Graphic Design from Cal State Long Beach and is an adjunct faculty member at UCLA Anderson. She is a consultant for Give All—a curriculum that helps professionals learn how to build a brand, create a digital presence, and better position their organization. She also co-hosts the verynice Women's Design Salon—a quarterly event series that empowers the local creative community. Ask her what it’s like working your way up as an intern, or what’s like having someone get their logo design tattooed!
