Sharon Johnston, FAIA, is a founder and partner of Johnston Marklee. Employing her wide-ranging knowledge of diverse architectural practices, Sharon builds and directs distinguished collaborative teams tailored to each specific project. Working with artists, fabricators, and consulting engineers Sharon directs teams to customize and integrate formal, material, and component- building systems into distinctive architectural solutions.

Sharon has lectured and taught widely, including teaching appointments at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Princeton University, the University of California, Los Angeles, and has held the Cullinan Chair at Rice University and the Frank Gehry International Chair at the University of Toronto.

Sharon is a graduate of Stanford University where she earned a B.A. in History & Art History. She earned her architectural degree at Harvard Graduate School of Design.
