Jenna Hornstock joined Trifiletti Consulting as the Managing Director in June 2019, after 18 years in the public sector managing complex public/private real estate transactions, transit supportive land use and master planning efforts, innovative community engagement, and launching LA Metro’s nationally lauded Transit Oriented Communities Program.

From 2011 – 2019, Jenna worked in LA Metro’s Countywide Planning and Development Department, eventually becoming the Executive Officer for Transit Oriented Communities. As Executive Officer, she managed a team of 30 that included Metro’s Joint Development, First/Last Mile Planning and Systemwide Design programs as well as the development of the Union Station Master Plan and implementation of redevelopment activities at and around Union Station.

Prior to joining Metro, Ms. Hornstock spent nearly 7 years at the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Los Angeles (CRA/LA), most recently as Chief of Strategic Planning and Economic Development. During her tenure at CRA/LA, Jenna worked directly on financing and implementation of affordable housing, infrastructure, industrial and retail development projects, as well as plans and funding for open space, healthy food access and land use planning. Prior to CRA/LA, she worked for a nonprofit affordable housing developer and on the Housing and Business Team of former Los Angeles Mayor James Hahn.

She holds a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and a BA in Rhetoric from UC Berkeley. Jenna served for 5 years as Assistant Chair of ULI’s Public Private Partnership National Product Council, is a former Public Director for the Los Angeles Chapter of the AIA and is the 2018 recipient of the AIA/LA Presidential Honorary AIA, the LURN “Unsung Heroes of Los Angeles” awards and was deemed an “Emerging Leader” by the Asian American Architects and Engineers Association. In June 2019 she will be honored with APA/LA’s John Chase Visionary Award.
