Eyewear brand AHLEM will display the work of two artists during the LA Design Festival. Gabriela Noelle's work celebrates the contrast between Earth and man, natural and synthetic, adolescence and adult. Through Gabriela Noelle’s lens, we encounter a creative universe inhabited by vividly colored three-dimensional works, including clusters of flowers, shimmering butterflies and dragonflies, and fantastical creatures borne of her preferred medium of Lucite.
Nadine Wells is a Los Angeles native, who after spending most of her life exploring the mountains and deserts of California, was drawn to working with the raw elements of ceramics. She designs simple forms that seek to find harmony between function and beauty. Embracing the tactile similarity exposed clay has to the stones and earth of its origin and the subtle imperfections inherent in this material, her unique pieces are reflections and memories of the natural world around her.
