Dunn-Edwards x Caroline Geys
Dunn-Edwards partners with DTLA Artist Caroline Geys to Create a 2020 Color Experience.
Dunn-Edwards is partnering with Caroline Geys, a Belgian-born artist and designer, to create an interactive and imaginative color experience that will bring these archetypes, and the story of 2020 colors to life in a three-dimensional space for the LA Design Festival.
Each June, Dunn-Edwards releases the Color Trends for the following year. Color expert Sara McLean heads up an exhaustive year-long research and design process to pinpoint what the future holds as expressed through color. The trendsetting color predictions include 60 colors divided into 12 main palettes, demonstrated by five color archetypes. While McLean is mum until the colors are officially released this summer, off the record she predicts that the 2020 colors will reflect tones of optimism for a new decade.
Caroline Geys is no stranger to ROW DTLA. Her artwork can be spotted in the main lobby of Building 1 where everyone hangs out. Known for colorful expression through geometry and abstract shapes, her work is on view at Pershing Square as part of a public art program and she will be part of the AXRT Contemporary Gallery opening later this month in Avellino, Italy. Read more about Caroline here.
The Dunn-Edwards Color Experience will be on view at the LA Design Festival at ROW DTLA from June 20 to June 23. Sara McLean will host a Color Conversation on Thursday, June 20. Artist Caroline Geys will be on hand during the LA Design Festival Design Block Party on June 21. Check out the full schedule here and RSVP in advance.
