INTRO / LA, EPICENE, and ON THE EDGE
Don’t miss these original design exhibitions at the LA Design Festival. The list of participating designers is a veritable who’s who of the creative California phenoms who are redefining West Coast design.
INTRO / LA
The exquisitely curated independent design show returns for its fifth year at the newly-expanded LA Design Festival. INTRO / LA is an intimate platform to present a selective cross section of design and this year Small Office has focused on almost all LA designers. From ETC.etera’s eclectic style to Block Shop’s vibrancy and geometry; from Stephen Kenn’s masculine aesthetic to the modern minimalism of Waka Waka and Estudio Persona; INTRO LA is exploding with talent this year. Again. Check out the full roster of designers and RSVP here.
ON THE EDGE
The 2019 EDGE Recipients are featured in this special group show. Kenesha Sneed creates a mural bringing her trademark pixels, clay, paint, coconut oil and black girl magic to the mix. Eric Trine shows off his irrepressible brand of Californian post-modernism with Amigo Modern. Fiber artist Cindy Hsu Zell features her large scale work which starts out so surprisingly small scale. Model-turned-welder Meyghan Hill of (wh)OREHäUS STUDIOS showcases her latest work along side Uri Davillier of Neptune Glassworks who will also be showing original one-of-a-kind pieces. It just can’t get any better! RSVP here.
Oh but wait, it does. (wh)OREHäUS STUDIOS and Neptune Glassworks are co-curating a very special design experience called Epicene. Given the space and time to express their latest, greatest ideas, this dynamic design duo has pulled together a provocative and evocative show that embodies their shared and divergent tastes and talents. RSVP here.
