What do I need to enter Canada?

How do I get to Vancouver?
Fly! Air Canada, West Jet, Alaska and United all have non-stop flights to Vancouver from LAX. Just try to arrive by 5pm on Thursday to give yourself time to settle before we head out fo the IDS Opening Night Party. Set your return flight later on Sunday if you want to have some free time to explore around Vancouver.

How do I get around Vancouver?
All ground/sea transportation is included during the weekend until Sunday morning when we check out of the hotel. Vancouver is a walkable city. We'll be walking mostly on day one, staying around the IDS Vancouver show and the Convention Center. On day two, we'll be taking a sea bus and ride around the city on a private bus with an insured livery service. Guests are responsible for their own air travel, and their own transportation to and from the airport.

What can I bring back with me?
If you're a U.S. resident visiting Canada for less than 48 hours, you can bring back $200 worth of goods duty-free. For stays longer than 48 hours, the duty-free limit rises to $800.  People who live in the same house can combine their duty-free limits, but they must travel together.

Will we have any free time?
We have a full schedule of planned activities Thursday night, all day Friday, and all day Saturday. But guests will have all day Sunday to explore Vancouver on their own after we check out of the hotel, depending on what time you set your return flight to LA.
